The Hark.com Marketing Group is a full service marketing and design firm with over 16 years experience offering a wide range of services including: Web Site Design, Web Site Hosting, Publication/Ad Layout and Design, Quarterly & Yearly Marketing Plans, Public Relations and Freelance Writing

Our Company was founded August of 1998 by Linda R. Harkcom in Hagerstown, Maryland. Originally named Harkcom Publishing and Development, our company's main focus was creating promotional and fundriasing materials, grant writing and coordination of large fundraising events. From September, 1998 - February, 2000 our company ran the Community Division of the Hagerstown YMCA's Capital Campaign. The company's name was changed to The Hark.com Marketing Group after web site design and hosting services were added.

In March of 2000, our company relocated to Linda's home town of Donegal, Pennsylvania. The office is located at 172 Main Street, in the former Donegal Post Office where Linda's grandmother Hilda Snyder was post master for many years.

In the first few years our company's client list quickly doubled by developing a reputation for providing quality products for reasonable prices. In January of 2002, the company continued to grow by assuming responsibility for the clients of the former 11 Elves Web Design Company of Ligonier, PA. We currently coordinate all marketing for five businesses and provide a variety of marketing services to 47 additional clients. Our company is looking forward to continued growth while providing the personailzed service that we have devloped a reputation for.

Linda Harkcom

Linda has been working in marketing and sales since the summer of 1985. After graduating from college, she relocated from Donegal to Hagerstown, Maryland in 1990 to accept a position as Director of Marketing for Burger Park U.S.A., a fast food franchising company. In this position Linda was responsible for public relations, local store marketing, creation of all print, radio and television ads and promotional materials and development and initiation of quarterly strategic marketing plans for corporate and all franchise locations.

In 1992 Linda took a position as Director of Marketing with Belloni Inc. She was responsible for public relations and local store marketing for corporate and all franchises. She was also resposible for all media buying, layout and design of all ads and promotional materials. She was also the Training Manager for new locations.

Later that year she was offerd the positions of Promotions Coordinator/Special Sections Editor/N.I.E. Fundraiser at the Herald-Mail Company where she was responsible for the coordination of all in house and outside promotional campaigns such as: Y-Me of the Cumberland Valley's Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Children's Village Safety Awareness Day (5,000 attendance), and Women on the Move, to name just a few. She also solicited Tri-State area businesses to cover approximately one-third of funds needed for the Newspaper In Education Program. Her responsibilities also included copy, layout, and design of all advertising for newspaper promotions and generated special sections including the weekly editions of Transportation and Real Estate.

In 1996 Linda took a Director of Development position with the Western Maryland Region
Easter Seal Society for Disabled Children and Adults, Inc. There her responsibilities included all development/fundraising, grant writing, public relations and marketing for that region. Linda organized and managed special events including producing two Radio-A-Thons and two television specials.

In 1998 Linda founded The Hark.com Marketing Group formerly Harkcom Publishing & Development.

Linda has been an active leader through her Community and Volunteer Service activities including:

Board Member - Children's Village, 1992 - 96,
A non-profit organization that operates a facility that teaches children about all aspects of safety.

Marketing Committee -Hagerstown YMCA, 1996 - 2000,
Committee was responsible for marketing the various services of the YMCA as was as member recruitment and retention.

Business and Promotions Committee Co-Chair - Mountain Laurel Chamber of Commerce, 1999 to present.
Committee responsible for production of bi-annual business directory, along with all other forms of advertising member businesses.

Board Member - Mountain Laurel Chamber of Commerce, 2001 to present.

Golf Outing Co-Chair - Mountain Laurel Chamber of Commerce, 2001 to present.

Council person - Borough of Donegal, 2001-2002
President - Borough of Donegal, January, 2003 to present

Greg Pimental

Education: Northeaster University,
Boston, MA. Received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science/Business Management, May 1989.

Greg worked from 1989 - 1994 at Accu-Scan Inc., a small high tech firm marketing electronic monitoring equipment to telecomunications companies.

Later, he worked for a large bank developing their automated voice response systems for their call center.

In 2000 he was a project manager who defined and developed automated leasing systems for leasing companies. Now he is a systems analyst working in a large data warehouse where he manages several large databases. And developes new systems for the data warehouse.

Greg has been with The Hark.com Marketing Group since 2000 where he is a systems consultant. His duties include troubleshooting and repairing computer hardware related issues. He configures and installs computers and computer networks. He designs and developes databases for Hark.com clients. He also provides on-site user training.
